Savannah always reminded me of Charleston, but with less places to eat and worse parking.

    chive sea bar is excellent
    45 bistro also very good
    Pink house for lunch
Crystal beer parlor for a burger
Sandfly bbq downtown has good Q
Leopolds ice cream is a must
Take a trip out to tybee and catch brunch at Social or grab a sandwich at 80e Gastro pub. If you find yourself out there for dinner go to sundae cafe

Carriage tours and haunted ghost rides are supposed to actually be pretty interesting, I just don't care to do them. River street is shitty and I wouldn't spend much time down there after dark. Broughton street and Bay Street are relatively safe at night just like any other town.

Maybe take a day trip to Daufuskie and eat at marshide mamas or daufuskie crab co. Explore the island for a few hours with a golf cart.

Less places to eat. Less yankees. More crime. Less shit to do. Parking sucks for both. It's a trade off really

I got my eye split open, broke a kids jaw, and then got karate kicked at the gas station across the street from there. Still wish I could find that video tape for some good laughs.

But I like eating at the pink pig on the way there whenever I get the chance.

Narobia's grits and gravy. The only decent meal I had while in Savannah. BJ

I would take your wife to the gas station right down the street from the Grey Hound Bus Station. Get her a hot pocket and heat it up in the microwave. Then you can spend more time exploring the section 8 housing behind the station. Thank me later!

Elizabeth's on 37th is good for supper. Cool place. Great history. I like it better than charleston but probably because I go to charleston all the time.
