Asking only out of scientific curiosity of course.
If the gas expands fast enough, faster than it can escape, it explodes. A slow burning combustion would make a chaser out of it.

Traditional centerfore powders would blow it, especially if they're ground down finer. (I'm thinking the smaller BB gun type CO2 cartridges.)

Disclaimer: this is all based on assumption and I'd never advise testing this theory.

My neighbors no longer have cats.

I won't be testing anything. I don't know all the laws, but I know ignorance of the law ain't a defense. Unless your last name is Clinton.

Making my own sparklers and snakes sounds like fun, but I'd end up losing a limb and I'm too pretty to go to prison.

I think about the video of the dude that blew up his Snapper rear engine mower loaded down with tannerite from 7 yards away.

I'll grant you that I didn't know that a Brazil nut was actually called a Brazil nut until I was 25. But I am no racist.

I don't know where to get solid rocket fuel, but I do know where a den is that I'm going to check out this Summer.
