I need a 15 horse four stroke for a 13' wooden skiff. Who makes the best? I'm not interested in speed or style, I want a low maintenance motor that will start every time I use it. It'll be mostly salt water use.

You can get the Suzuki 15 that has EFI instead of carbs. That should eat ethanol gas better. Weighs less too.
I love my F20 Yamaha (same motor as the F15). It sips gas, starts quick and has been perfectly reliable but it is carburated. I run only ethanol-free gas.
I really wish Yamaha would put EFI in the smaller engines.

Had a Honda 15 four stroke for 6 years. Never had one problem with it.
