Have you used this type of rewards based training with your retrievers? This lady has had pretty amazing results with her female Chow, and they are supposed to be really difficult to train

Imagine the drive that would give your duck dog. Might even work on a boykin.
Plus you'd have a nice catch phrase while training. No duckie no fuckie.

In the past I've used words so vile while talking to my dogs that I would be damn near embarrassed with myself... and I've liked them all, a lot even.. So accepting anything with reward in it would just be contradictory.
