    Default Kill Plots

I want to make a few kill plots this fall in Hampton county and will probably make them with a hand tiller or such. What do you fellas recommend for that area? It seems the "shot plot mix" is popular but without a frost they might just look pretty for the majority of the season.

    Thoughts?

    Soil test

Oats if you plan to broadcast. A 50/50 mix of rye grain and wheat if you plan to drill

    Top seed with durana clover

    Pray for rain

Edit: plant this mid September +\-

You need to use something like "throw and grow" and "shot plot" and "shit show" all of which can be bought at Walmart and feature lee and Tiffany on the bag.
Tiffany unfortunately is a closet lesbian bc she cheated on her husband with Rascal Flatt. But lesbians are some of the best among us at tilling soil, growing things, and scissor banging.

Split the plot in half. Oats on one side and purple top turnips on the other side.

Plant between September 15th and October 1st

I appreciate the feedback. I am not sure anything can even make it down there with the deer numbers but I will give it a honest effort.

I went down last weekend and looked all over the property. It's 200+ acres and the surrounding properties have been clearcut on 3 sides. Tons and tons of 15' all pine thickets where they were replanted. I can probably plant 1.5-2 acres where I want to put stands. It looks great down there.

I mailed my soil sample on Monday so I have started the process.

I bought a bag of this stuff from the local Wal-Mart one year and it done great. It looked like a carpet and had turnips as big as softballs. The following year I went back to buy some more, but they quit carrying it.

Whenever I bought this stuff I had no idea about planting so I planted it WAY too early. I'm surprised it actually lived. The deer mowed it down and dug up the turnips after the first hard frost which sadly was after deer season that year. LoL I planted it in Chesterfield county in very sandy soil.
