I have a gun or two that have been cerakoted. They are doing well but for one where the outside edge of the end of the barrel where the finish is wearing from various contacts with the truck floor and the gun case.
Anyway, I just came across this....

Has anyone tried it? I know of a fella who has some damaged gun finishes due to a house fire and I plan to tell him about this stuff.
It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

The youtube video makes it look almost fool proof. I just can't imagine this being better than a real blue job.

From what I've read, cerakote is much more durable than any duracoat product

I used it on an 1100 last summer and it turned out good. I used the Polished Blue/Black, but I may try another color next time. The gun is almost a gloss black now, it does not really look like blueing.
I did another with Duracoat Aerosol that turned out good. They recommended using their cleaner/degreaser which works well. I ordered it all from Midway.
