    Default Captains Choice Marine

Are these good people? Got a friend that's looking at a boat there and wants to make sure the mechanics are honest and not just trying to sell a boat.

    Meh.

It's conglomerate owned nowadays, I believe.

    Sold out.

    I'd find somebody else.

I bought a pontoon boat from them in 2006. They're good people, all the ones I've dealt with. I will buy from them again.

My dad bought a ski boat in 1998 still have it and it looks great. I wouldn't buy a boat from anyone else. The next boat we buy will come from them. We have never had any problems what so ever.

In 1998, they were family owned.

    I'm warning you.

Not 100% certain, but I heard Alan stayed on with the company, he just sold the business to them. Alan is good people, but I don't know what capacity he holds with them now.

I was talking with the wife of the owner of Chapparal/Robolo in the food truck line at Miami Boat Show. She was congratulating us on doing so well so quick and so on. I told her we owed most of it to our dealer network. Her response was " you must not be tied to One Water Marine". Take that for what it's worth.

I deal with them every year when we get the boat winterized. My father in law also just bought a boat from them and we have had no problems. You are not warning me about nothing. They are good people even after the switch.

That's just my opinion maybe I'm lucky but it's my opinion none the less.
