looking for an inshore guide for sometime in August. What's biting then? 1/2 day trip. Any suggestions on kayak fishing as I will have mine with me.

In the kayak, find a mangrove shoreline preferably with a deep edge or point, put a shrimp either free lined or under a float and skip it just under the branches and hold on. You will do best on the incoming tide.
If you find a safe area at night throw whitebait or a white clouser through dock lights and hold on.
Is your cousin Chris Morrison?
Flockbuster: If your in the Marathon area definitley go with Capt Chris morrison (keys light tackle charters) offshore or inshore he will put you on them. I went with him september of this year past, and we absolutely killed it. He knows what he is doing when it comes to fishing.
If your fishing on your own, they key is bigger reels, with very light line, flouro is best, any area you can get to with a kayak will be very overfished, not to say you cant catch anything but make sure you use super light tackle as the fish are shy.
The keys are awesome.. hope you enjoy it
