    Default pond bass with the boy

    took my son for a little mid afternoon pond bank fishing today after church. we had a great time throwing spinnerbaits with only one fish to show after several short strikes on spinner baits. switched over to rubber worms and had a blast. keeping lines tight was pretty tough with the wind but we managed toland 7. all but one were on June Bug culprits worked VERY slow... i am no prof but being that 9/10 strikes were within a few feet of the bank, they are probably staging up, at least in that place. He caught his biggest bass ever, 5.8lbs and insisted on showing all the grandparents so after a few stops we got home for a few pictures.

    Doublesprig's son is a bass catching machine, Dale Jr would have to buy them fish, he would wreck or have a flat tire driving to pond.

    sounds like fun, but that fish looks like she has already spawned.

    You might be right there, StumpK. It was definately a skinny one. Hopefully there will be many generations of big fish to come.

    (unfortunately I aint Dale Earnhardt Jr. , Jr. , Sr. though... and dont think wifey cares too much for racing either)
