    Default Boom!!

For all of you that say it can't be done, a buck that scored 136 6/8 won the youth side of the Carolina Bucks big buck contest and a buck that scored 149 4/8 won the adult side. Both killed locally. Let that sink in.

The 149 was killed on my in-law's farm. The farm is hardly managed at all and this buck is somewhat of an outlier, although the genetics there are pretty good. Your average 3.5 year old buck on that farm will typically be in the upper 110s in my experience. And I agree, it can be done.

Strange. It took 175" to make try top ten only a state away. Good thing y'all got buck tags now
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

Oh whatever, remember this only a small group of people, not a whole state.

It can be done... Just not in the same fashion, as its done everywhere else..

And who in the french toast lets their youth shoot a 136" animal in SC?

I know it. This kid hunts a pile though and is a very good hunter. It was also a bow kill.

While the method of population control and carrying capacity can vary by region, the formula for a buck reaching his potential is universal.

I think "his potential" varies by geographical location..

    Dirt and genes bo...

No difference in farmers in the west/midwest getting 200 bushels of corn per acre and farmers here happy for 110..

Potential varies. The formula does not. And of the variables you listed you conveniently left out the most important one; age.

    No, no, no, no!

I cut my corn in June and I still get 110 bushels per acre.

    Wait-

Do mature buck sperms create bigger fawns that non-mature buck sperms?

When we start talking about deer management on this forum, it rarely sounds like there are any adults present.
