    Default 2/25 Squirrels

Duck Cutter and dhall made their way to McCormick to do a little squirrel hunting on the club. We got started later than we should have, but that's my fault. Jake treed 4 within the first 30-35 min of hunting and I new we were about to start fucking them up but by 830/9 the wind was already blowing 900 miles an hour and it shut the rodents down. We happened to kill one more on the way out. Ended with 4 squirrels (I "winged" one of the first ones he treed early as he was running through the trees but I didn't have anyone back me up..... Jake got on him and had a little race but the squirrel got a head start and he got in a hole.) we killed a big boar coon too. Fun day, dhall and duck cutter are good people.

I ain't got a picture of the coon. DC and dhall didn't want to bring it out, something about rabies or some shit. I said it woulda made the picture.

That fool was gone when we went back in there after lunch. Those boys that were lookin at the property to see if they were interested in coon hunting it wanted the nasty MF and I went in to get it and he was gone. I saw all the blood and crap from where he was laying dead. Reckon a coyote got him.

I knocked a few troublesome rodents off here, but didn't have the fun you may have.

What method do you guys use to clean them? I ask because I find if I don't get them skinned fairly quickly the effort increased exponentially.

The best way to clean squirrels (especially when you have a bunch) is to find somebody that wants them and give every one of them overgrown rats away

My plan exactly, but, at times, they are easier to give away if I at least offer to assist my neighbor's kid in the dirty deed.

Cut the legs off at the joint and the tail

Cut a split crossways across his back
Insert finger and pull inside out

Similar to how I do it, but I find that the skin gets tough to pull off if we let the bodies cool down. Need to clean them within the first few minutes, it seems.
