    Default Phone case

Who makes the best smartphone case? I have always used OtterBox but will no longer be using them.

Maybe I am deaf as shit but I have bought two life proof cases and I can never hear anyone on the other end. Plus drops are as big of a concern as water. Otter box has served me well.

Otterbox has served me well until today. Dropped my phone from my lap onto the floor and it completely shattered. Went to AT&T and the gentlemen I talked to said he would be on the phone with Otterbox. Called and they said it was not their problem, as they "warranty the case, not the phone since they don't make that". Guess it makes sense, but damn.

All is well now with a new phone and Lifeproof.

I have had many life proof cases and all of them had issues with muffling the sound. Went back to an otter box.

I've got an s7, spigen tough armor, it's grey in color. I didn't like those things that look like phone condoms. I don't care to do life bubble wrapped.

If your enemy is water, go lifeproof.

If you enemy is drops, go otterbox.

If it is both, go lifeproof.

You are gonna get muffled sound with a lifeproof unless you get the Nüd.

got rid of my iPhones a couple years ago and got a samsung that's waterproof. put a slender hard case that covers side and back and one of those shatterproof tempered glass covers over the front. hate the dang life proofs and otter boxes.

Thanks everyone for the responses. After a day with the Lifeproof I am so far pleased. Doesn't seem to impede my hearing while on the phone.

I guess I was a little bothered after my IPhone shattered while in it it's otterbox and basically being told it wasn't their problem.

Otter box owns life proof so it's still not their problem.

Well, they're right it isn't their problem. I beat my phone, in an otter box, to pieces and never had an issue. Went under water several times with no issue. Stuff happens and the only one to blame is, well you know.

This is true. The reason I went and bought a new phone haha. Completely understand they wouldn't do anything for me. It' was a two year old phone and case.

But falling off the sofa onto a laminate floor and shattering while in a case will make you say some choice words.
