Family is heading down next week to Pawleys. My son wants to surf fish. I normally take him down to the inlet. Is anything biting right now? We went right after Christmas and he was disappointed. Hope this trip will be better

flounder in the creek. mud minnows. It is the right time of year.

you can always try the south inlet on the incoming. fish the creek side. I call it "GBelly's Spot."

The north inlet is OK but tougher to fish from the bank.

in that case, get your boy a container of cut mullet and let him have at it...

Trout, reds, flounder are all there. Black drum on the north side. Maybe a sheedshead on the old rocks at the north end about 2/3's way down the inlet. Rent a yak and get back in the creeks on the south end. Rays, spinners and a few blacktip can be had on the north end as well. Beach and homes are still a mess from Matthew, getting better though.
