Default How long will tenderloin be in fridge not frozen

Was going to grill some backstraps Sunday pm but there were not thawed out in fridge.

Figured just cook them Monday night but got home late so I put them in zip lock bag with Italian dressing thinking I would grill Wed pm

Ended up having to go to funeral home last night and hate to see them go to waste but wondering if they would be ok tonight

(I know this sounds odd but do not ask me to smell them, I have ZERO sense of smell and Wife will not be home until I later to smell them )

The meat will be fine but you might as well throw it away since already you put Italian dressing on it.

    This.

Pull them out of the dressing. Like whenever you get a chance, no biggie. I would think the acidity in that stuff would or could throw it off sitting for too long.

99% of the people on here that tell you Italian dressing ruins deer use Italian dressing as a marinade and slather their well done loins in A1.

Yours will be fine. It seems like deer gets funky quicker if you leave it in its own blood/juice sealed up for more than a week. Patted dry, I've accidentally left them for a long time.

Just let your husband take care of it. You can get the dishes and salad ready.

    FUNNY

Drained the Italian off and wrapped in bacon like always. Not bad but will NOT do that again.. Wife liked but said she prefers it just wrapped in bacon

By way was nice IL deer backstrap, boy those things are great.

    Hummmmmmm let's see .........

In my fridge or yours? Because if it's yours I have NFC. If it's mine then not long, like maybe a day. It gets gobbled up quick.

    i lol at people....some times.

while i wouldnt soak in vinegar for weeks, a plain, wrapped loin could easily last weeks in the fridge.

now, don't listen to the jacklegs that bandwagon about italian dressing then turn around and put oil, vinegar, and spices on their loins.

I used something called "Speedie Sauce" the other day that my wife had gotten. Its a very seasoned, vinegary italian-like dressing or marinade. A dear friend of mine gave me a couple of tenderloins and I let them sit in that "dressing" for a couple of hours and cooked them in a skillet on a coleman stove in my garage and they were wonderful.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
