Default Sparkle berry swamp bream tournament

I saw this on another website and it gave me an idea

I'm thinking of hosting a bream fishing tournament this spring/summer and would like to see if there is any interest on this site for such a tournament.

I was thinking of having a 15 dollar entry fee with the money being used as prize money for 1st-3rd places.

I'm thinking individuals or teams would weight in their 10 biggest fish (or 15 biggest, etc) with the overall weight determining the winner.

I'm looking for as much input as possible so please don't be shy with comments and suggestions. And please let me know--would you pay 15 bucks to be in a bream tournament? Would a guaranteed 1st-place prize of 150 dollars make you more likely to sign up; would you not sign up at all no matter the prize money; would any certain amount of guaranteed prize money make you more likely to sign up?

Is this a sanctioned Bream Tournament with the Southern Bream Busters Association? Are you going to offer any free swag to participants? Koozies, shirts, keychains? Who will be catering the awards banquet?

Shoot, this sounds fun, even though I doubt I'd go.

Require everyone to use 16' bamboo poles and they must ride to the landing in a car.

I never participated in em because blowouts aren't really fun for anybody
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Yes, we used to do them. We kinda let it go to the wayside because turnout dwindled down. The winner of the previous year would pick the location for the following year. We tried to move it from lake to lake and not repeat so as to let people from all over participate without driving all over the state. We did Santee out of Low Falls, Murray, Greenwood, and Clark's Hill since I started. It was a good time. Never had a bunch of BS to deal with from the ones I recall.

That bream tourney was the start of a longtime friendship with a lot of guys from the site.

We fished in the very last one and even though it was a low turnout we had a good time! Triplebeard spanked our asses.

Yeah for some reason I still fish with the same jackass that I fished my first bream tournament with.
