    Default Jack plate troubleshooting

This is on an older bob's machine flats jac
I can hear the motor come on and run but there is no movement of the plate. Fluid is to the fill line with no noticeable leaks.

Any idea where to start diagnosing what is broken?

Pump coming on or a clicking sound?

    If it's clicking, it's probably a solenoid.

Pump is coming on from what I can tell, no dead battery/solenoid clicking.

How often do the actual cylinders fail?
I may just buy a new pump/solenoid unit and rewire it so I don't have to worry about it for awhile.
