    Default ESPN in trouble ????

Not a shocker, the Jenner thing had to hurt but I think more than anything is they are going to have to cut costs which means QUIT hiring EVERY EX JOCK to sit on
tv in taylor made suits talking in circles about pregame, game and post game crap all the time

They need to get back to the basics of what got them started

Plus these HUGE DEALS given to SEC, ACC and etc are WAY out of line from what I can see. They have opened a can of worms with these huge TV deals

Most people turned to sports to get away from social and political issues. Now ESPN spends hours talking about tweets.

Macy's (M) was trading at $67.44 when they announced they were dropping the Trump merchandise line. Macy's (M) closed today at $31.20. Unless I'm calculating their market cap wrong or missed a split, they lost $11B ($11,000,000,000) since dis'ing Trump.

I have to agree with you, get up to Mike and Mike, watch local news for about 2 min to see anything local and weather then tune into M&M while getting ready

Yea, I know. They were in the midst of a 5 year run of good returns that ended abruptly right when they made a very public point about dropping Trump. Look at the graph and tell me when they dropped Trump…

Mike and Mike sucks nowadays. Morning Sportscenter sucks nowadays. I think Nordstrom's finished up for the day after dropping Ivanka's line, but I only checked around 2:00. ESPN is not what it used to be.

They did finish up a pretty good bit. But, Macy's bumped higher for a day or two before begining the crash. To get real scientific, it's best to measure against the retail sector.

I only care about ESPN during the fall. If I could stream Clemson sports directly from Clemson I would.

Dan Patrick jumped off the sinking ESPN ship years ago and is doing quite well for himself these days... on his own terms.

i dont know much, but I have some anecdotal evidence.

I dont watch much TV but I tend to watch sportscenter out of sheer boredom at 6pm. As of this week, they have changed their format and have "michael and jamele" (sp?) on at 6pm now. Its a lot of music I dont like...a lot of people talking...and no real highlights of yesterdays sports action. I am certainly NOT their target audience any more.
