Edge 550 any thoughts. Good boat?

Fast hulls
Newer Havocs are faster and stronger
I could be wrong but I'm going off of my own personal experience... edges are fast and ride good... I had one of the first havocs built and it was a great boat but....here is my comparison-my buddy has a built 40 Merc with an edge and he was about 3mph faster than me...I just got a brand new one exactly the same and I'm about 1mph faster than him

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

I have an edge. I'm pleased.

The thing about all of them is they are done in a Jig. We literally have them come in on the same shipment and two will ride, act, and perform completely differently. Some of it is luck of the draw. A lot goes in to who welded.
They both are great boats, and each have their benefits.

Biggest thing at the end of the day they are a 3-5k dollar hull. Not a 20k dollar hull. And when I say two ride or perform different I mean one might be 3-4 mph faster. Both turn unbelievably flat and do not slide. Like I said both have a few features that most people like about each boat and they are similarly priced.

Talking about warranty, not boat design. Just my 2 cents.

Exactly 100% --- had one of the first Havoc DBST --- never could get a porpoise issue out of it. I really only run the boat during hunt season so was never in a huge hurry to fix it.. I would go 5-6 months between talking to Tim about it. After 2 years Tim told me next time I'm in Arkansas hunting to bring the boat to him and he would fix it.. End of the story ----- he gave me a new boat.
My story is almost identical
Yes you can't beat the man. He has came along way
I had an edge 650 for a couple of years and it was a pretty solid boat that served me well. It was the first boat I purchased brand new and from that I was able to figure out what I really wanted/didn't want in a hunting boat. My only two gripes about the boat were 1. the rail they use is unlike any other rail that war eagle, xpress, excel, etc. use...accessories can be added to the edge rail, just takes a little engineering to figure it out. 2. If I had any sort of weight close to the drop deck while running, I would get an enormous amount of spray coming back on the rear bench when turning. Made for a very wet ride depending on how far or how curvy the river was.
