    Default Micro Red Dot

I'm looking for a small red dot for a 9mm AR.

Looking at Primary Arms and Bushnell TRS-25.

    I don't really want to spend $200.

    Input?

I'm looking also. Since I picked up the rifle/pistol combo from PSA yesterday I'm looking for some kind of optic for the rifle but don't want to spend a ton of money on one right now. I like the tactical coolness of some type of red dot but also prefer the reliability of traditional glass and cross hair.
I found this at Bass Pro that has both features but have no idea how durable it may be.

I'd be willing to look at a short tube, traditional scope without the red dot also. I'd prefer a scope that doesn't need separate rings that will mount directly to the rail. Under $200.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Holosun 403B, they are $169 on amazon and have a 50,000 hour battery life with auto awake and auto 8 hour shut off. I have two on AR's and have not had any issues what so ever. Holosun makes the Primary Arms red dots.

Holosun is solid. I would get the 503c though, the circle dot is sick.

Steel in', I was starting to look at the Primary Arms stuff, too, but haven't looked hard enough yet.

scatter shot, how about this one? You have the 1x4x24 scope with the red dot and BDC set up for 5.56.

I checked out the Holosun 403B on Amazon. It looks like a sound recommendation and based on the reviews I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. Thanks for the heads up.

What one are you referring to?

I saw that scope also while on Bass pro's website and liked it but both of the scopes I saw had just a few user reviews on them. When I have more time I'll search them out on other websites and see if there are more reviews available.

The Holosun 403B you linked me to on Amazon had a ton of great reviews on it and based on those reviews and price it's moved to the top of my list. Thanks for your help.

A Vortex Sparc AR arrrived on my doorstep this afternoon. In hand, I'm pleased. Looking forward to running this budget optic.

I have the TRS 25 and have no complaints. It is better than it should be for what it costs. I have no experience with any of the other ones, so I can't make any comparisons.

The reason I would choose the Holosun/Primary Arms over a Vortex is every time you pick the rifle up the dot is on. I don't like having to turn the optic on and off when I use the rifle.

I am a C-more fan. I have tried others but it is hard to beat them as far as battery life, quality and adaptability is concerned. I have one on my 9mm AR and love it.

I've been told good things about the C-More red dots, but I don't want an 8mm dot.
