I went duck hunting one time this year so I guess the fad has already worn off. As far as keeping the idiots off the water you should stay home so everybody else is safe. I duck hunt with an 1187 special purpose waterfowl. I love it, my only complaint is that it won't cycle dove loads reliably.

The Remington's ain't what they used to be. I love my old 1100's and had an 1187 recently that fell apart the first time I took it in the field. Sold it and bought an A400 and its been a great gun so far.

Never had an issue with my Franchi. Cycles everything I've put in it and shoulders great. I think I got mine around $700 or so and couldn't imagine what any gun could offer that would double the price.

They might be cheap but I have an old Stoeger m2000 that I beat the living crap out of and it keeps on ticking. I almost never clean it and for some reason it refuses to rust. I'm trying to decide between an M2, SBE2 or an A400 before next season.

I actually had an m2000 too and shot about 8,000 rounds thru it. Sold it still going when I got the a400
