    Default Headlight upgrade?

Busted a headlight in my 08 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd. Thought instead of buying a factory replacement I would upgrade my lighting. I'm lost in the whole HID, LED, projection, etc. I prefer clean white light and the brighter the better obviously. Just looking to get some opinions on type and brand if anyone has some to recommend.

I'll recommend you don't get those God-awful bright-ass monstrosities that every truck that is squatted around here gets. Talk about not being able to see what's in front of you. Replace it with factory. Be done with it. I hate anything that is brighter than factory.

    Sorry, just rambling tonight.

Problem with these idiots is they "squat" their stupid looking trucks, but don't adjust the lights. Bright headlights aren't an issue until the beam is pointed right at an oncoming driver's eyes.

brighter than factory IS AN ISSUE, they are blinding and distracting to oncoming traffic, especially if the other drivers wear glasses or are older and their eyes don't adjust quickly to light changes.

We ALL bitch about how bright and distracting the new cop car lights are- this is no different.

And to make it worse- since it's now cool to blind oncoming traffic, we have all these assholes riding around with their high beams on( and won't dim ) just so they can look cool.

But go right ahead- put in HIDS and join the asshole crowd- you'll be cool bro

Me too. I even had a cop flash his lights at me thinking I had my high beams on. Stock lights.

Is your truck lifted? I've noticed that plus riding with your fog lights on can be distracting, even with stock headlights.

If you get brighter lights you're going to piss a lot of people off anytime you tow a heavy trailer. It's blinding enough with stock lights.

I have a 05 2500 and went with the Sylvania Silverstar? They have good/better/best. I went with the best. They are white, clear, and crisp. And not over powerful like stated in above post

Appreciate the input. My truck is totally stock. None of that squat stuff. Going to go with factory stuff and just get some brighter bulbs. Some people do put rediculous lights and I don't want that just something to be able to see a little further and crisper at night. Exactly why I asked I had no clue about anything aftermarket wise.

I see people sell these lights on Craigslist, and I want to contact them to buy them, but just kick them in the nuts instead, for being an asshole.

Then I realize they are getting rid of their asshole lights and move on.
