sorry - this applies only to recreational fishermen. Commercial fishermen may carry on as usual

I have given it zero research but at first glance it looks like you could have your state and federal commercial license for about $75 or so. If that's all there is to it you could get your license just to flip the finger to the man.

Cobia should have had more restrictive bag limits years ago. We made our own mess on this one.
SC catches are a fraction of what NC and FL kill
Guy on my boat last summer brought the biggest long I've ever seen boat side in 100'. Damn thing was 7' with a head almost 16" wide. That one hurt to let go. Fucking Feds.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
You might take out a dozen before they drag you from your home and skull fuck you to death. Marsh Chicken 6/21/2013

Am I reading correctly that this only applies to Federal waters? They point out that 87% of the fish caught from GA to NY are in state waters, so this only affects 13% of the fishery. Only a matter of time before they withhold funding somewhere until states follow suit.

States keeping their fishery open last year (NC) is the reason these fools say we caught the entire ACL last year.
The worst part is, the east coast of FL stays open until the GA line, because apparently those are Gulf fish.
