    Default Good Hip wadders?

I've got a set of "Dan's" the so called good ones with the squishy boots. They are super for standing in one place an a little walking.

I have discovered they are not easy on the knee when miles are involved.

Are there any alternatives out there that provide water proofing up to the middle of you thigh?

I have several operations on my knee an this wild weather isn't helping the situation, but I have noticed more so this year I have been walking more than normal in my wadders with all the wet areas.

Any help would be very appreciative.

I have a set of Dan's with the LaCrosse boots and can walk anywhere in them. Never had an issue and yes I have walked miles upon miles in them at times.

Banded ( as much as it pains me to recommend them) they are getting great reviews from some of my friends.. or Cabela's...

I still use an old pair of Hodgeman canvas hippers that are dry and comfortable..wish they still made them. Aquasealed in a few spots, but they are holding up.

I have tried Godwins or Dans with both Lacrosse and Muck bottoms. I prefer the Muck.

YWS try putting some new insoles, maybe sorbathane, in the ones ya got as there aren't much better hip waders out there than what ya currently have.

Just what I was going to suggest. I have a couple of sets of good insoles that I rotate to the boots I wear the most by season. It makes a big difference vs the average OEM insole.

Maybe cause Dans and Godwins are paying them enough to use their boot in theirs and the contract may have something where Muck can't be a competitor. Who knows tho.
