    Alright, I haven't mounted a bird in 20 years.
    How to prep and freeze...?

I find it's best to completely submerge in water and freeze in a block. This prevents freezer burn.

    Congrats!

Pat dry with paper towels, tuck head under one wing, wrap in grocery bags. I always wrap in 3-4 for good protection. Get a as much air out bags as possible.

This is what I do, but wrap the duck in newspaper or paper towels before going into the bag, per my taxidermist. You can keep them frozen for a year or so and I was told beyond that, especially out two years, it gets difficult to mount.

I thought I remembered you talking about seeing them several years ago. At my age my memory isn't what it used to be and it's never been as good as I wished it was, but I did remember this one cause it was so cool. Good stuff Scott!
