    congrats on the bird. Very cool. I have never seen the yellow cover before. That's pretty interesting.

    D, I have been seeing 2-3 every year but I'm not all that far from the banding/research site either.

    I killed one from there as my first band many moons ago, minus the saddle, thats why I was interested to know.

    He's a pudgy fella. Very nice specimen. Congrats on the band. I've seen the nasal thingy on a live bird, but never seen someone harvest a bird wearing one.
