I'm guessing that since the USFWS took away the NE quadrant's long sea duck seasons (really the only thing they've got going much after October), they asked for two blacks as a concession. But this is only a guess.

Is the limit on mottleds still going to be one? That could pose a problem...

Has there ever been a discussion about raising the limit of Wood Ducks? They make up the majority of harvested birds state wide, some reports have them as high as 60% of harvested birds.
When they take something they give something.
There's some give and take happening up in Alaska coming in the future too.
You've got one life. Blaze on!
Remember the state can further restrict any season or limit so I see SC staying at 1 black due to Mottled populations!! We will see!!!!

Ahh hell. I knew this was too good to be true. We wind up losing a pintail here will be the end result. I personally don't believe blackducks are in any better shape to be adding one in the first place, but what I see here and in Sask tells me that pintails are in great shape. Does not mean that they are nationwide, but we certainly have seen far more than average this season.
