Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Canines will eat fruit.
My dad had a persimmon tree in his yard and there was a security light not far away. When the p'simmons would start dropping we'd sit on his screened in porch at night and watch the foxes eating them p'simmons. Some nights there be three or four out there under the tree and often pretty good fights would break out. Mostly it was red foxes, but once in a while a gray would come up and run all the reds off. Even though Reds are bigger they're scared of grays.
