My oldest had high hopes of killing one in the snow on Saturday, but we rolled snake eyes for the morning. We did enjoy the scenery.
He's got the fire in the belly though. After realizing there was no snow at home to play in he wanted to give it one last try. About 5:20 4 bucks came out of the cutover and the third one looked good enough. A high shoulder shot broadside at 35 yards and the high fives commenced.
The buck had a funky point coming off the back of his left beam and curling around the ear making for a total of 9pts. 17 3/4" spread and 180#. This makes the 3rd. year in a row he has shot a good buck on the last hunt of the year. You can't tell him jack squat now!
