    Default Charter recommendations?

Looking for recommendations for a charter out of either myrtle beach or Charleston in March. It's for about 6 military dudes getting together for the weekend. Nothing crazy, just looking catch a few fish and possibly drink a cold beer or two. Let me know if you had good luck with anyone.

I think Fish's brother runs a charter up that way.

Is March a decent time to go? 98% of my fishing has all been freshwater.

We talked about both. I think the group was weighing more on offshore. Not looking to target a specific fish, just more of a good time with hopefully some fish in the cooler by the end of the trip. We've talked to two charters already but know nothing about them except what's on their web page.

spill the beans- who did you talk to?
if you want consistent trolling action it would be best to wait until April- in March you are looking at trolling for blackfin tuna, wahoo and some early dolphin and some billfish- if you catch dolphin they will probably be big- it is also a month to catch a big fat ZERO unless you take some bottom fishing gear.

My first blue marlin was caught years back on March 31st trolling the 226 hole- we struck out the week before at the Georgetown hole( my only offshore zero ever) while everyone around us caught fish, and killed them on the 31st at the 226

I'd rather wait until April myself. Unfortunately we have been trying to get this trip together for a few years and with deployments and crazy schedules March is all we have. I'll pass on the info, I think my buddy talked to a Little River fishing fleet and Longway fishing charter both out of Little River.

Could probably do the outer banks if you wanted to catch some yellowfins

Wadmacallit is good at catching blackfins that time of year out of Charleston
