    Default tundra swans 2016

Hard to beat the rush of 20 pound birds decoying over your shoulder. Beautiful birds. I took the 20 gauge this year. #SFC

The three best parts of a swan hunt are watching the head/neck snap back on a good shot, hearing them hit the ground, and watching your buddy go tear-assing across the field to chase a cripple.

They can run faster than you'd believe...

fairly strong flavor but edible. I did a bird a couple years ago in crock-pot, like roast beef.

I'd love to see a cripple chase. That'd be entertaining I'm sure.

My heathen dog got him a piece of a crippled swan. Great bird too.

They can for real cover some ground....

I loved the flavor. We did ours a little more done than rare over charcoal, with some olive oil and a dash of sage, salt and pepper.

Crock pots are for folks who dont enjoy the flavor and texture of meat.
