“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”
--John Madson, The Mallard, 1960

you are not ONLY a product of your parents. That shit bugs me. You have free will. I know shitty parents with great kids and great parents with shitty kids. Find a new schtick...
I think the old poster was just saying only 20yr olds these days would be dumb enough to do this...and get caught.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
I am not really concerned with the poaching. My OP was off topic and based on your generation getting old with the 'millennial' comments. I am sure we can all think of instances where my original statement may not apply but IMO it applies to the vast majority of parent/child relationships. I agree that we all have free will but the basis on which we view how to handle that free will is decided very early in our lives (even as infants) and really throughout our lives, even as adults, by the things our parents (or lack thereof) do or do not do.
Then funny thing is that a lot of your generation would not hesitate for a second to say 'I am the way I am because of how my parents raised me, the right way where I was never given anything and everything I have is because of my hardwork... yada yada yada', we've all heard it before, I think Mergie sneaks it in somewhere about once a day on here. There is nothing wrong with that but, how is the flip side of that argument not true?
