    Default No water!

Well so far I've gone from the best SC duck season (last season) I've had since moving here in 2002, to the worst. The drought has killed our honey hole. We realized this months before season but we couldn't get permission from the landowner to pump water in from the creek. We had an average of 3' of water in this hole last year (record rain #'s) to a puddle here and there right now. Hopefully we can get some wet weather and potentially get a late season hunt in here!

This is what it looked like last year...

Awesome spot. When the water shows up again, you will kill more birds if you hide better.

Why would the land owner not let you pump it up?
