ive been at it for a few years now.

    I have 2 detectors a Fisher F75 and a Fisher F4.

A pinpointer cuts digging time in half. I have a Garret Pro Pinpointer.

It is a blast especially when you start getting into old home sites and camp sites.

PM me if you need any help or information.

Got an old whites that i use occasionally after deer season. I've found lots of bottle caps, nails etc. I've also found some mini balls and a gold woodmen of the world cuff link in the middle of a big patch of woods that hasn't been disturbed in probably 150 years. Going back there to poke around soon.

Would a pinpointer be useful for finding steel shot in game?

I'd like it a lot more if I had some cool spots to search. Plus my kids busted my headphones so it is a bit harder to listen for the right tone.

I've found mostly pull tabs, shotgun shells, and brass. Financially I've recovered ~$0.78 of my investment from coins found while detecting.

But if it was a paying job I could get out of bed every morning with a smile on my face. Nothing like being alone hunting for the unknown. Even if it turns out to be an Old Milwaukee can circa 1972.

Guy at my church used his in a creek and found a couple thousand bucks worth of gold. Actually it was a Rolex that someone threw off the bridge above. I'm sure some divorce papers were involved in the deal...
