    Default Returning home thread

I'm currently in the upstate and ready to get back to the house in Summerville. Anybody tried to get back? Any road closures? Detours? Problems in general? Thought this might help everyone who left if anyone has info to share.

I'm aware of Haley's statement this AM in regards to returning, didn't leave on 26 and don't plan on going back that way. Thanks

The list of road closures is long. The list is probably going to get a lot longer because the wind shifted and was at it's strongest about an hour and a half ago. Check DOT website for road closures.

Just got off the phone with a friend that was pulling into north charleston now from Columbia. Said there were no problems except for having to go around a few trees on 26.

I've got a few friends and made it into West Ashley no problem from Lexington. Of course we only have to cross the Northbridge at Cosgrove to get there. I am en route now.

Can confirm 601 is open at Wateree. We have no power, but plenty of water.

Left fort motte around noon today. Big tree across 601 including the power line. Lots of down trees on 176. Ended up on 301, which also had down trees. Dodged a few more on 26 and back to mount pleasant around 2;45. Not much traffic so the trees weren't an issue on 26 if you watched your speed. If they aren't cleared by tomorrow, the increased traffic will cause serious gridlock.

All trees have been removed from 26. Ran Greenville to Summerville with no issues. Traffic is already starting to build east of 95. Be careful fellas, people are back to driving like looney tunes.

Did not go down there. I doubt it is flooded yet. Our roads are swamped so if it is like this above us, the landing may flood soon.

River in Camden is around 18' and falling as of right now. May go back up some. Trezesvants is at 77' and looks to be shooting up.
