I'm on vacation this week down at the deer lease, and shot a good buck earlier in the week so I'm thinking about heading home to try a dove hunt Saturday or Sunday (upstate). I know a lot can change weather wise, but this mornings forecast for us is 20 mph winds and 20% chance in rain on Saturday. How do y'all think the cooler temps, rain, and high wind will affect the birds? It's a very small field but we had our best hunt ever last Saturday and left them flying. I know tropical storms normally push birds out, but with Matthew coming from the south and going west, I may foolishly be thinking it'll push birds our way. Any experience in these conditions, because mine are limited to the 90 degrees of opening weekend! I know many are going to say just hunt and what happens, happens, but I'm a couple of hours away and don't want to waste my friends time if y'all are pretty certain it'll be a bust.
