You can tell who lives in the city and who lives in the country has been through days without power.

Yeah three things come into play for this one. The Bermuda High, Canadian High, and a low pressure trough. Earlier in the week, forecasts had the Bermuda high weakened and the low pressure getting here sooner, which would of pushed it out to sea. Unfortunately, the trough is taking longer to get here, and the Bermuda high is holding stronger than expected.

What sucks is there won't be any true telling until Wednesday/Thursday which is only a couple days before it would get here.

I'm going to hit up the store today to get some bare essentials and wait to get the rest if it gets ugly.

How do you people find time to go to medical school, law school, and meteorology school all in one life time?

    Que GC's weather rock.

Seriously though I might get some propane filled this week since the tank is sitting on 10%. Might fill the tractor tank and chainsaw tank because once again they are all on empty, there seems to be a common theme here all my shit is empty.

If you could only post on an scducks thread if you have expert knowledge of the issue being discussed, there would be no scducks....

The meteorology part is pretty easy. Just look at the guys on the news, they rarely get that crap right.

If i'm going offshore fishing and they call for 1-2, it's a given it's going to be 3-5.

Amazing what happens when you read up, do a little research, listen/watch and overall educate yourself on some things in your down time.

Not saying to be the next Jim Cantore, but you can learn a little bit.

Unfortunately for your case, it's a little more than keeping the coloring inside the lines.

I prepare for every one of them that's coming close. They get that big they can go anywhere. Plus the law of averages says we're due a good one in these parts sometime soon.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
