Yeah, like I said, this bitch is nasty.

Unfortunately the track slowly continues to eek a little west every update.

Know it's still very early, but this is one you start to shore up your affairs.

Let's just say I will be running the generator tomorrow to make sure it's in working order and cutting any tree limbs that looks suspect.

Worse off, I'm dead fucking wrong and overreacting. Best case, I'm prepared for next weekend in case Hugo 2 comes a knockin.

    Dear God, I hope not.

I have at least 20 big trees that could hit the house.

26' ceilings. Single 6x8 running the span of the house with no center support. One good hit, and it all comes crashing down.

    Hindsight...yeah.

I have two vehicles on the coast and one driver. My wife has been instructed to take my deer heads, guns, and leave the truck.

I was planning on hunting out of town next weekend and next week, this may put a damper on my plans. I'm sure the insurance company's will stop us from writing new business next week as well, just as they did during the tropical storm a few weeks ago. This is giving me a headache already.

If that storm comes, there's gonna be a disaster on 26 even more so than hurricane Floyd. Way to many people down here to evacuate. Hugo we rode out the storm on James Island. I was only two, but can remember the sound.

Hope those last predictions are right except the one on the left. Planning and preparing now for worst case anyway.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

If you compare the one UGA Dawgs posted and the one USMCsilver posted on the 30th, pretty much the same. Check it on Wed or Thursday and you should know what to do.

I see you running 3 weather apps.

You know...in the settings, you can disable the temperature display so that only 1 eats up the area of your notification bar.

Still too many variables at play to trust farther than 3 days out.

From everything I have read so far, we won't know until mid week if it will turn or not. Too many variables in place that will control the path (Bermuda High/Canadian High/Low Pressure trough).

Which is a little unnerving bc it would be here by Friday/Saturday and that only leaves you a couple days to get ready and get out if need be.

In between they actually had moved it farther west and coming much closer to land. But yeah I agree it's still a ways out.
