    I've used a 9' 7wt since I was a kid for everything from bass to reds trout and snook.
    Learn to double haul and load your line 1 wt heavier if you are throwing larger flies.

    Or any permit or tarpon over 50 pounds.

    We have a wonderful fishery over here all of you should come try.

    The Chattahoocee is a great place to improve your river Trout skills.

    Get a 9' or 8'6". A long rod will do everything a short rod will. The reverse is not true
    Thanks for the pro tip. I know nothing about fighting fish and should have known to clear it with our internet expert that is all knowing... especially when it comes to hand and friction.
