Me too. Must be the cool down. Sitting in the stand with my daughter & it feels great. Twin brother in another stand itching to bust one. Hope at least one of em gets one. Then it's on to the dove field.

Haven't seen a deer yet this morning but I can hear a field across the line in NC banging away on doves.

My Dad, brother and I have been waiting on this day for about 10 years!! After a long search as well as having to save up, we finally purchased our own property. Thanks to the help from SCDucks, we had a 5 acre dove field and 4 acres of food plots cleared in April, then we sub-soiled the field, had to disc it multiple times and got it planted by June. We only have browntop planted but it turned out well! We had a lot of birds last Saturday so we will see what happens. Needless to say we are ready for 12PM! Also want to give a shoutout to all of you on here who have given your advice and helped make it possible, Thank you!!

Even at 54 years old, it's the one day of the year I still get the most excited about. I only have a small field, but I put a lot into it so that my sons, daugther in laws, and few close friends can hopefully have a few good shoots. It's my favorite hunt of the year. Everyone be safe and have fun today. Good luck to all the young ones out there trying to shoot their first bird today. We will have a you fellow trying to get his first dove today with us in the field.

Public was as always. Loaded with a bunch of people I'd have rather not had to deal with. I shot a public field that wasn't listed on DNR website. People were on the field holding spots at 10:15 and most of them carried 3-4 boxes of shells. I killed 4 with the first 6 shots. Knocked down two more that I didn't recover and put two more in my bucket after that. Ended up with 6 total.

Had fun though, hopefully Monday will be better on our private field.
