I'd hunt it, if that was my option. I wouldn't frown upon someone shooting that far off a field, ain't nothing wrong with it in my book.
Yeah, I've done several impromptu shoots in cutovers. In all cases, there were coming into the cutover to feed on whatever seeds were dropping. I've also done some killer shoots on gravel bars in the river before.
