    I would guess more than one person touched the rod after hookup. Or a boundary dispute if they had their AIS transponder on and were seen somewhere outside of the allowed fishing grounds. But those are just guesses. If lawyers get involved I'm sure there will be a gag order just like in the big rock tourny a few years back.

    First place Tuna will be worth over 3 million. Blue marlin boat was not in most of the Calcutta options

    The article in Marlin magazine reads like a lawyer wrote it. Never says what the possible violation was.

    A buddy told me the mate grabbed the rod then passed it off to the owner. That tourney has a no pass off rule.

    Basically they all failed the polygraph. Passed sea bouy too early, caught fish too early and assisted angler in catching fish. The tournament is just asking for a court ruling to redistribute the winnings to the other qualifiers.
