Ive shot bowtechs for several years. If I bought a new one right now...I would look at Elites first.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Elite's. Guy at my club just bought one and loves it.

I've never drawn one as smooth as the Halon. Not saying its the smoothest out there.....just the best that I've shot.

Stopped by the infamous mega bow shop in southern PA last night and pulled the strings of all the majors and some of the smaller names.

Walked out with what I consider the smoothest bow I've ever handled.

It was not the Halon 6, which was a close 2nd, but with no bias, the G5 Prime Rize in 70lbs was smoother on the climb and never goes over a hill to the wall. Just a smooth, steady, draw.

I also like the idea of the parallel cams to limit cam lean. Every bow I've owned in my 15+ years shooting has shown some string wear from cam lean. The Prime has a lifetime string replacement warranty every two years.

The first bow the tech handed me was the Halon 6 60lb. It is a nice glide. The 60lb version was equivalent to the 70lb Prime. When he set up the 70lb Halon, it was clear.

Go shoot as many as you can and pick the one you like best.

My next bow will be a Hoyt difiant turbo. I am tired of losing speed due to a short draw length. I can't change my arm length ( I don't think, lol). Hoyts two in draw length cams will allow me to get 100% out of the bow. I want to shoot heavy arrows but with my current bow I went to 430gr arrows and was shooting 240fps. That's to slow for me.

I'd spend less money on the bow and put all my expendable cash into plot screen and some big-n-beasty.

My fear with the prime is finding a NASA engineer to work on it....

An absolute must in bow hunting is the Treecoy®

It's a fake tree that looks real. It will fake out all the other trees until it's too late.

Elite is still a few years behind Mathews and Hoyt imo
