The recommendation coming out of the Wildlife Advisory committee was for 15.

DNR states they sent out an E-Blast to people who have an HIP permit and posted the question on their website. Was told they asked for input on reducing to 12 and the response was 50/50.

Did anyone get the email?
Did anyone see it on website?
Does DNR still have a forum?

So, they're saying this absurdly unscientific polling via email (that probably reached few), website (some obscure link on a .gov website probably), and on a nonexistent forum is why they did not follow the advice of their BIOLOGISTS AND THE FEDS? If that's the way it works, then please let DNR know that I vote to repeal all the game laws and just leave all this up to every hunter's own conscience. Thanks.

This was a feel good board decision not backed by biological study or DNR.

It is not politics. These are board members who "FEEL" 12 is enough.

Well I "feel" that all bag limits should be based on scientific evidence and in cases where there isn't substantial research available then the educated opinion of biologists that get paid to monitor such things should be taken.

I also "feel" that any politicians that make "feel good" decisions for the general population should be tarred and feathered.

Unfortunately, what I "feel" doesn't matter to our generally elected officials.
