    Would like to stay below 11 because I can buy a brand new one with aluminum trailer wheels and 40 Yamaha for right at 12

    Im buying a brand new xpress DBX with a '98 Yamaha 70hp and the total is right around 11k. Maybe a little less

    Trust me, you don't want to put a 40 on that boat.

    If you're looking to cut cost get a new 4 stroke tohatsu 40hp and remove the restrictor plate to make it a 50. That yamaha 40 is a dog and the xpress is a tank. You put any kind of load in there and you're done. I had a 2 stroke 50 on mine and wanted more horses.

    you'll hear this alot from the xpress guys....it's just not enough for those boats
