Looking for a nice compact camera that is easy to carry while hunting but does a better job than phone cameras. Don't mind spending a little money for the right thing...

    whatcha got?

Our guide in Canada had a nice one. I can't remember which model it was so I'm no help. May be Rhett will chime in. I'm sure he remembers.

I've got an Olympia that is waterproof and shockproof. It's been to the Caribbean twice and I'm more impressed the more I use it.

I'll check the model when I go up to the house.

    Sorry; I totally forgot.

I usually shoot a Nikon SLR, but I've been very happy with this little, go-everywhere, do-everything camera.

I was wrong about the make. Here it is -- http://www.dpreview.com/articles/793...-wg-2-wg-2-gps

Palm sized DSLR's by Sony. Our good Camera is a Sony and my wife loves it. It's just not palm sized. Interchangeable lenses...you can do whatever you want with these things.

    Look at the a5000, a5100, a6000, a6300, and a6500 pick your poison.

I think I proved to you your iPhone camera takes as solid of photos if you know what you're doing. I have a DSLR and compact canon, and carry neither anymore because of the convenience and quality of the camera phones, one of them is the small cannon pocket Elph cam, which takes excellent photos.
