Old bown blob duck camo on boat?

Has anyone ever painted their boat in the old brown blob duck camo from the 70s and 80s? It's called heirloom on the website

I would use another shade of brown instead of that grey. Trying to decide between that and natgear. Thanks

Heirloom is a great pattern, but a good bit more difficult to paint than natgear. The pattern fits together like a puzzle. Nat gear is very effective in the field and much easier to paint.

I am getting ready to paint a hancock in that pattern with the help of another member I will def. post pics of the boat im kinda apprehensive and excited to try this pattern but stay tuned.

D I agree, the nat gear is definitely better for blending in, especially in the marsh and brown upstate rivers. Heirloom would be more of a novelty but it doesn't matter either way cause it'll be covered up w grass and burlap during the season. Looking forward to pics stump. Do you have any more pics of your boat willmac?

Not my boat by any means. I'll try and get some from my buddy though.

I painted my boat in the nat gear from redleg but i went with more of the old school brown colors. I think it turned out pretty well

It has held up pretty well. It scratches easier than probably some of the better paints. But i didnt want to break the bank on this boat.

It is more brown then it looks in picture.

I like the Natgear a lot. It hides so well just sticking the boat against the bank or in a little cut. I hunt mostly in the midlands lakes and rivers, but the lighter "pluff mud" base lets it do well in the marsh too. This is a Stumpknocker paint job from about 3 years ago, and it's holding up very very well.

Bigger blobs are way more effective.Most camo jobs are for humans.Look at some of the old military patters.The new stuff does not break up from a distance! With that said...I love brown camo.
