Can't tell, you're holding it too close to your body. Nobody holds fish like that...

It was big enough to startle a 4yo who has reeled in more 2/3lb bass in his short time on earth than kayakin guy has in his life.

Phone pictures are deceiving. A two lber can look like a 7 lber and vice versa.

    9.6 is my guess.

That's a pig but breaking the 10lb mark is something not a lot of people can say they have done

I agree. I don't really see over 3. Unless he has a hulk head too.

This is the only thing worthy of mention in this entire thread.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

These are my kids holding two nice ones. We all limited. 22 degrees this day, broke ice to get in the creek and were culling 4 and 5 lbers for several hours.
    All on artificial shrimp

Ain't no culling on these days. Some of the locals say it's the worst it had been in 60 years. The nets cleaned house after the freeze last winter.

Keep thinking that, I went last week and got skunked in SW and French. Ran 45 minutes by water and caught plenty. Rain has them pushed closer to the ocean. I am thinking about heading up there on Sat or Sunday depending on the weather and my honey-do list. It is slow in the river but is from all the rain these past few months. It will straighten out. They are closer to the ocean cause they need more salinity. RK has been fishing Morehead for two months for this very reason.

Sheeit Ricky ain't done a whole lot until the last week or so. Anyone catching fish is catching 16" fish. It's like a different world compared to 2014. That was some good fishing.

That's good to hear, there were lots of small fish in the fall but Breadman says they have grown some now. Both are doing better right now compared to March of last year. The water is 10 degrees warmer but the trout were all but gone last year.

SW Creek wasn't even crowded last Nov

Yep, I was up there a couple days ago and had the whole place to myself. Saw a bunch of ducks up in a side creek and made a mental note.

It's funny how many locals gave up on trout. It won't be much longer and they will get nets banned up here. Do you see all the videos folks are taking of nets and dead fish? Interesting politics behind it all.
