    I have changed my training techniques. I learned a new one from a good friend of mind this past duck season. When doing water work, if I have problems, I call the dog back in and dunk his head under water for a couple seconds. "I'll drown you"

    This technique work well if done right. Maybe even better than shocking them enough to make them yelp or kicking them. Submerging time varies due to color of the dog. Chocolates may take up to 10 seconds under water to get compliance.

    That technique works great when your hand gets sore. Just make sure you get ya some of those gauntlet gloves in the winter, the water can get pretty cold.

    I think that Costa will do that on command with out assistance at 100yds out...
