Does the Wrecking Crew shoot released birds?
I used to drink like a fish and run like a dog
Done a whole lotta shit not permitted by law
People call me the Picasso of painting the town
My wife and I went to the Outer Banks last year to duck hunt. I hunted 3 days, my wife only 2 days. It was $200 per person per day. I figured it all up, and after the daily hunt rate, gas, license, hotel and food, we could have hunted out west for 6 days, shot 10+ species of ducks plus Brant, and came out several hundred dollars cheaper all in, versus hunting the Outer Banks.
It isn't the amount of money you have that matters, it's the networking you do and friendships you make that matter.
No on releases. And only kill with guides and in impoundments? Right. I have my own set of friends that like to take trips and this is just what our trip to Outer Banks was. Group of friends going to hunt.
Your not technically the wrecking crew, just a friend of. None of that was meant towards you.
I know. I was answering the question to the releases. They have been invited to hunt Featherhorn several times and when they go, it's always a ringneck shoot.
and then there's the fact that you cant really freelance the outerbanks. you're paying for the blind.
Yeah outer banks is too hit or miss for me unless it's calling for 30 mph winds all week then your chances sky rocket of having great hunts
The blinds in the sounds are all permitted blinds. Those guys apply for permits on them and have to follow a strict guideline on them and must keep them in code. You're paying for that service when going with one of the guides.
And it is hit and miss, but it was the only trip two of the guys could go on due to vacation and one of them's wife being pregnant. Sad thing is it cost me the same amount for being there 3 days as what it cost me out west for 8 days.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
there might be a reason the hot spots have blinds laws, and there might not be. note we talking about the outerbanks, not just the NC coast. there are some few exceptions, just speaking in general. AND I could be wrong. Just what I have found in the 3 years of going there.
