I dont own a pistol, but if i did, I wouldnt take it to church. I cant imagine a better place to die if God calls my number.

Living in fear is the reason I dont carry. I dont know how you people sleep at night with all the bad people out to get you. Go to church to be around people that follow Christ. Leave your guns and fears at home. If God wants you, your gun aint helping.

my opinion. have a great day,.
You assuming you know my mental state for carrying is just as ignorant and elitist as everyone assuming they know yours for not carrying. As for me, I live in fear of no man and will choose to be prepared regardless. And I really don't care if you choose to or not.

I sleep like a rock. Behind locked doors and with 3 weapons less than two steps away.

He didn't even say sorry HS.

Dumb, naïve people will be killed because they turn the other cheek and aren't prepared.
Where do you get this idea from? How about smart, armed prepared people?

I'm sorry that my pistol isn't on MY checklist before church. I have to admit that I'm sorry it IS on a lot of yours.

Just out of curiosity for those carrying in church, how often has that pistol saved your life? I am just making sure my situational awareness is on RED ALERT in areas I need it.

Your pastor asked you not to carry?

Certainly, the disciples lives were about to change after the crucifixion of Christ. They had no need for money and self defense at that point. Someone was always providing food and there were few threats of physical harm to the disciples (minus Jewish religious leaders). All that was about to change, they asked Chrsit if 2 swords were enough and Chrsit answered "yes". They were not be a militant group or offensive, but having personal protection was going to be needed in the days ahead.

Some will mention Peter cutting an ear off in the garden, but the due time had came. Just as there was a time to cleanse the temple of the money changers. Jesus was clearly talking about self defense in the passage from Luke.
